Sydney Opera House – April 2017

Daniela Leska featured in a showcase in the Sydney Opera House as part of the 2017 Pacific Opera Young Artist Program (YAP). Accompanied by Artistic Director Simon Kenway, the “24 American Songs and Arias” program featured the music of Bernstein, Sondheim, Copland, Barber, Weill and more. 

Daniela was delighted to open the concert with Copland’s “Nature, the gentlest Mother,” present a collection of stunning music with fellow YAPs and perform the aria “Steal me, sweet thief” from the one act radio opera The Old Maid and the Thief by Italian-American composer Gian Carlo Menotti.
